LNG 17 is the only global event created by the industry bringing together the entire LNG value chain. This unique event is held under the auspices of:
The International Gas Union (IGU) was founded in 1931. It is a worldwide non-profit organisation registered in Vevey, Switzerland with the present Secretariat located in Oslo, Norway. The objective of IGU is to promote the technical and economic progress of the gas industry. The members of IGU are associations and entities of the gas industries in 73 countries. It cooperates with many global energy organisations. IGU's working organisation covers all domains of the gas industry from exploration and production of natural gas on- or offshore, pipeline and piped distribution systems to customers' premises and combustion of the gas at the point of use.
Gas Technology Institute (GTI) is a leading research, development and training organization addressing energy and environmental challenges to enable a secure, abundant, and affordable energy future. For nearly 70 years, we have been providing economic value to the natural gas industry and energy markets by developing technology-based solutions for industry, government, and consumers. We focus on key issues including expanded supply, energy efficiency, sustainability, and climate change.
The International Institute of Refrigeration (IIR) is an independent intergovernmental science and technology based organization which promotes knowledge of refrigeration and associated technologies that improve quality of life in a cost-effective and environmentally sustainable manner including:
- Food quality and safety from farm to consumer
- Comfort in homes and commercial buildings
- Health products and services
- Low temperature technology and liquefied gas technology
- Energy efficiency
- Use of non-ozone depleting and low global warming refrigerants in a safe manner
The IIR comprises 61 member countries, from all continents, and in addition, corporate and private members who receive information services and access to databases (articles from all over the world, Expertise Directory, Laboratory Directory…), and participate in IIR international conferences and working parties, in particular thanks to the work of the IIR commission "Liquefaction and separation of gases".
American Gas Association (AGA) www.aga.org
The American Gas Association, founded in 1918, represents 201 local energy companies that deliver clean natural gas throughout the United States. There are more than 70 million residential, commercial and industrial natural gas customers in the U.S., of which 91 percent — more than 65 million customers — receive their gas from AGA members. Today, natural gas meets almost one-fourth of the United States' energy needs.
