Hamad Rashid Al Mohannadi

CEO, RasGas

Mr Hamad Rashid Al Mohannadi joined RasGas Company Limited as Managing Director on 29th April 2007. He has been a board member of Ras Laffan Liquefied Natural Gas Company Limited since 1993. Prior to joining RasGas, from 1992 he was General Manager at Qatar Petrochemical Company (QAPCO) responsible for its growth and expansion. In addition to his role as QAPCO General Manager, from 2005 he assumed the responsibilities of General Manager of QATOFIN - a joint venture partnership. Mr Al Mohannadi has a wealth of experience in the energy industry having spent over 28 years working in companies such as the National Oil Distribution Company, QAPCO as General Manager for 16 years before joining RasGas.

He holds a Bachelor's degree in Applied Engineering Science (General Science) from Portland State University, USA.

Mr Al Mohannadi was appointed in January 2009 as one of the Board of Trustees of Qatar University chaired by Heir Apparent Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al-Thani.
